SEPTEMBER 2017

Artist and Instructor CJ Shelton hosts a fun and interactive Open House at her studio during 2017 Headwaters Arts Festival

CJ's Studio On Saturday September 16 and Saturday September 23, 2017 artist and facilitator CJ Shelton invites both residents and visitors to the Headwaters Region to visit her beautiful nature-filled studio for her annual Open House Event.

Between 11 am and 5 pm on both Saturdays you can drop in to enjoy a cup of tea or a tasty treat and view her newest mandala paintings (images based on a circular shape) while learning about the exciting variety of arts-based and self-development programs and workshops you can take during her upcoming fall 2017 and winter 2018 workshop seasons.

This is a great opportunity to meet CJ in person and discuss the numerous options for learning how to draw or paint in acrylics and watercolours, as well as how to develop your creative and intuitive skills through the art of mandala-making and zen-doodling. Enjoying any of these relaxing and fun activities can help you lead a more full and balanced life.

Drawing Class with CJOn both Saturdays you can also “make your mark” by contributing to a special group word mandala that CJ will be developing during the open house on the theme of what the “creative spirit” means to different people. At the same time you will learn how different symbols, shapes and colours you are drawn to can reveal many things about your own personality and where you currently are on your life journey.
