Watercolour Workshops

Explore Nature Through Your Own Nature!

Making small watercolour sketches of the natural world was a gentle timeless art practiced by Victorian ladies in their leisure time. Why not take a page from their books and rediscover the joy of creating colourful studies of flowers, birds, landscapes and more. It’s a quiet relaxing way to give yourself some quality “me-time”.

In this workshop series you spend a lovely calm afternoon with artist CJ Shelton in her tranquil studio as she introduces simple and traditional step-by-step watercolour techniques that have you creating your own little masterpieces in no time. Depending on the subject matter you will work from direct observation or photo reference. You never know … you may just be inspired to start your very own ‘country diary of a 21st century Lady’! These are introductory workshops. Having some drawing or painting experience is helpful but total newbies are more than welcome.

Booking an art experience is a commitment to yourself, the facilitator and other participants. The following policies are in place to ensure that all workshops and sessions run as scheduled and help guarantee that everyone involved has an enjoyable experience.

PAYMENT Payment is by cash or credit card (VISA, Mastercard and AMEX accepted)

FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT TIME OF BOOKING  To confirm your registration you must provide a credit card number at the time of booking.

CANCELLATION POLICY  Last minute cancellations other than for extenuating circumstances spoils the fun for all involved. Because classes are kept small to give each participant lots of attention, it creates challenges for the facilitator and disappointment for other registrants when there are no-shows or a change of mind that cause a class to be cancelled or run only half-full.

A raincheck may be offered depending on the circumstances of the cancellation. If a workshop has to be cancelled due to inclement weather or other extenuating circumstances participants will either be notified of the re-scheduled day/time or a full refund will be provided.
